Finally Amitabh breaks silence

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan mysteriously gave interview to newly launched Marathi channel, IBN-Lokmat in Marathi language. It was the first time he cleared his mind after lot of tussle created by MNS over his spurious statement relevant to his statehood and love for native state that is UttarPradesh. He was talking over present burning Marathi and North Indians issue in interview. He said that he equally loves Maharashtra and it’s culture including language. This state have given him lot of things he can’t recall but can only express his gratitude for love and affection people from this state given him over the period of long time. Soon after this clarification Shivsena Supremo Bal Thakare spontaneously made it clear that he has close relation with Bachchan family and no one should express doubts over his statehood in such an irresponsible way.
This issue has been triggering controversies from couple of months after MNS took strong objection of Amitabh’s statement in North Indian’s rally at Mumbai on the eve of Chchat Puja. This Puja mostly perform by North Indians. MNS workers came out on roads to beat North Indians due to their allege love for native state and bringing their culture in Maharashtra. Party stressed that these people coming for job should learn Marathi language and culture of this state rather than insisting for their own. They also said that North Indians should not distort the social and culture fabric of this state by aggressive behavior and arrogance. The angry agitation against North Indians spread all over the state like wildfire. Other cities also witness same scans of beating North Indians by MNS workers. Some local organizations also come forward spontaneously to support MNS in order to get rid of these people. Thousands of North Indians fled the state over night by any train leading to their home state. This consequence not only worried state but also central government due to large-scale presence of North Indians at central government.
Shivsena caught in midstream on this issue as its president Uddhav Thakare himself went to attain one of the programme organized on Chchat Puja. And party’s reach into northern belt also weakens party’s approach to handle this issue with regular aggression. But most of the Sena workers supported MNS directly or indirectly like some political leaders cutting across the party line.

Scarcity of medical professionals

It’s very much surprising to know that we have only one doctor readily available for as many as 10 thousand people, if we go by population wise statistics in India. And very less number of train medial staff for the same figure. One more heartening revelation is that most of the medical professionals concentrated in urban area leaving rural part on the mercy of traditional remedies and fake doctors. We have this phenomenon even after the Plenty of youngsters aspires to enter in medical field due to Indian society’s respectful approach for this noble profession. We are producing doctors and medical staff in large number but still common people have to suffer crunch of medical staff and medicines sometime.
Let’s see why….
Our hundreds of designated universities have been awarding medical degrees in bulk in order to keep pace with the mounting population. We must have adequate number of doctors and medical staff to treat our growing population. That’s why we have opened up plenty of long and short-term medical courses. But, still something is playing dead game to turnaround over all kinds of efforts. We need to check out shortcomings prevail in our long term planning and implementation. The government spending on medical services should be utilizing properly by canalizing our all sort of efforts.
The noble cause adheres to this profession make youngsters to spontaneously go for this career option. As they have feeling of serving people suffering from diseases and bring cheer on patient’s face at any cost. Such guys can work round the clock without expecting substantial remuneration from government and public medical hospitals. But, in some cases parent and relatives insist young generation to become doctor in order to achieve their dreams. After such stiff insistences this profession become a money gainer due to reluctance. Such students once accomplish their degree, they starts earning in handsome packages offered by big city hospitals. And mounting pressure of enhance fee also put financial burden on student to repay their loan as early as possible. Besides, pursuing education in abroad and subsequently working there have become inherited fashion in our society. Most of the students spend crore of rupees to settle down there to enjoy luxurious lifestyle. Then, they don’t like to come back even for social cause.
Such things worsen the situation. So, rural people don’t get basic medical treatment on time. They have to travel to big cities or abroad to cure their disease.

Toying with public funds

A special court has awarded four years imprisonment to four prominent city shares broker including Ketan Parekh for misappropriation of public funds meant for investment in mutual funds. Three bank officers also got as many as six months to one-year jail term for facilitating fraud by putting public money on wrong path. The court also observed that had the guilty got punished in initial stage, other frauds would have been avoided. Marathon proceeding of court indirectly assisted these brokers to carry out same kind of modus operandi in order to cheat people through luring with some smart investment options. Similar to this case a city based Suvarna Sahakar Bank’s director also misuse public funds by allegedly investing in his own business without showing any mortgage property, which is compulsory as per the investment law.
We have witnessed hundreds of such examples of exploiting public funds by prominent brokers and bank officials for their gain. And they have been freed even after such financial crimes because they are influential and can throw money to get scotch free. They are well aware of loopholes of our laws and ignorance of people while putting money in market. People should be extra vigilant when they want to invest their earning. Some people even don’t go through terms and conditions and history of any company before taking crucial decision of buying shares. We have to be a watchdog for ourselves.
We don’t have strict laws to punish guilty people as early as possible once the fraud comes to light. Lack of such laws indirectly empowers ill minds of such brokers to carry out antisocial activities. They are sure that their crime would be over look or they would be able to get out of it easily.
But this is not a case with other countries. They have strict laws to punish finance guilt in order to preserve public faith in investment procedure. China has been superseding the strict punishment cause as their court can announce even capital punishment for financial irregularity. We don’t want such extreme level of punishment but seedy judgment is expected.
Once people come to know such crimes they don’t dare to invest in volatile market or co-operative banks those are lifelines of over economy. Once money get stick in public hand economy has to suffer in liquidity and movement of funds. Money should flouts in every corner of economy like blood in our body. Then only we would be able to achieve double figure in GDP growth. We need to have some kind of proper mechanism to prevent such frauds and boost up public faith in financial institutions.

Only for Tibetan cause

Famous Indian football player and Indian football caption Baichung Bhutia suddenly public his mind not to participate in prestigious Olympic torch rally, which will go through India. He said that he had taken this crucial decision in an effort to show solidarity for Tibetan people facing Chinese wrath over separate state issue as he is Buddhist and he has some friends associate with the Tibetan confrontation. His decision not only surprise Indian Olympic Association but also create waves in Indian sport politics. Besides, his initiative may worsen the protest carried out in India by some Tibetan organizations.
From last couple of weeks, Tibetan people from china facing huge military exercise over separate state issue. Tibetans are protesting peacefully by organizing rallies and marches but Chinese authority is not in the mood to listen to their demands. Chinese military has been taking every kind of violent action to normalize the peaceful protest of Tibetans in their province. The violent scenes have been showing on internet due to Chinese long lasting restrictions on media. Protesters have been beaten up on roads and killed mercilessly in an effort to crunch their cause. Whole world seriously watching the situation but no one come forward for Tibetan’s support. Even, China’s arch rival in the race of superpower status, America maintains sizable distance from the present burning issue.
India has been considered the long time supporter of Tibet issue. Some time even our authority comes forward to advocate free nation’s concept. But, gradually due to interdependency and domestic interests, it has too stayed away on this issue. Indian has allowed Tibetans to stay in this county but hasn’t come forward to press their present protest. We too have same issue in Kashmir. Everyone knows that most of the people from Kashmir valley wish independent state. They have been protesting violently through terrorism. But we need to send our army to bring them down.
It’s an era of integrated states. No county and state would be benefited by separation and partition. We have live example of Russia. After cold war some sates broke away from this country and latter they had to face poverty and financial crunch in resources. These separated states were very much rich in resources. But separation put lot of Burdon on capacity and utilization.
Tibetans too should understand that separation remain painful and costly. You can enjoy more resources while remaining in same state. It’s in their interest to press for sovereignty rather than putting old issue forward on the eve of Olympic Games.
