Aaja Nachle on fire

Over controversial song of Madhuri Dixit starrer Aaja Nachle movie, some states including UP, Punjab and Haryana come out openly to impose ban for show casing in their respective states. However, movie’s producer and director Yash Chopra agreed to remove the responsible song and offered public apology over the issue.
Madhuri’s fans flock to theaters across the country to watch her first performance in the Aaja Nachle after prolong stay at US following marriage. Even before release, this movie makes headlines and related stories were aired on electronic media. But, controversial song spoils the show. And her come back turns in the major controversy. UP was the first state, which banned the movie following Chief Minister Mayawati’s order. She took strong exception of the song. As she came to know about song, she directed her close associates to watch the song. When they raised their concerns, losing no moments apart, she banned the movie. As per her specification she said that the song could hurt sentiments of particular community and disturb religious harmony. Punjab and Haryana follow the UP government. These states simply wanted to distance themselves from this issue. Even, the National Commission for schedule cast has decided to summon people related to defamatory song. Commission’s quick move adds fuel to present row. Sensing the gravity of the burning issue, Yash Chopra demanded public apology. He not only accepted the allegations but also agreed to remove the song.
Couple of months back Hindi movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa was in the eye of the storm over Hare Ram Hare Krishna… song. Some Hindu organizations raised their concern at that time. They objected some part of song, which contain girls dancing in bikini by chanting religious wards. Furious workers from these organizations even go forwards by hurling stones at some theatres. But, their agitation literally failed to impress film director and people. So, after some days this issue automatically bit dust. In fact, this movie becomes super hit all over the country. People love Akshay Kumar’s performance and unique theme of the movie.
But, big question remains intact that should we have cast based or religious wards in the modern movies or songs. Now, most of the songs contain bikini girls. So, stuffing religious wards in to their mouth, would definitely hit the harmony. And mentioning any cast remains a gray area. Film director and producer should refrain from such objected things. And don’t try to play with people’s sentiments by putting such thing most of the time deliberately.
