Once again Gujarat back in news but not for bad reasons. In fact, most of the prominent politicians are praising Gujarati culture and people in order to have major ballet power. Upcoming legislative assembly election prompting politicians to deviate from their earlier views and come down on roads with party workers to fight major battle for existence. Yes, it’s an election time.
But, a man from Gujarat still have that much gravity to hit headlines from all major newspapers and news channels. He is the most eligible bachelor Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Narendra Modi.
Once campaign started, congress party leaders flock to Gujarat and urged people to vote for their party to get rid of Modi Government. Even, Congress president Soniya Gandhi visited this state and kicked started several election rallies. Unlike her earlier election campaign, she didn’t enjoy over whelming response. People didn’t turn up to her rallies and famous road shows. Other prominent central ministers also escorted her but they too failed to cast some impression on Gujarati. Her remark for Gujarat Government triggered a deep controversy resulted into election commission’s notice. It brings shame not only for congress party but also for her self. After that she never went to Gujarat. Soniya bits dust in this state following highly successful rallies in general election. Some observers are sensing some doubts relevant to congress party’s stand. They even come forward to say that congress want to keep Modi Government intact so that central government should enjoy full support of minority people. They should have burning example, which would compel them to bow for congress in next general election.
Earlier, BJP, a ruling party in Gujarat, has split in several sections. Party dissidents were supporting Keshubhai Patel to topple Modi rule. They were literally campaigning against Modi and express their deep dissatisfaction to BJP high command severally. But, Congress failed to take advantage of this phenomenon. Congress leaders never-ever attempted to split BJP in Gujarat before election. RSS and BJP’s high commend stand firmly for Modi, as he is the only person who can fetch success. Party leader’s attitude makes Keshubhai to remain silent all over the election.
Modi’s statements, during election campaign, relevant to congress president and fake encounters put him into dock. But, he was equally wise to make his stand clear before any row. Even, election commission felt that his statements were not against any one. And couldn’t disturb social harmony. Now, Modi has been considered the face of Gujarat. People back him for his courageous decisions; he had taken while state was burning into riots. He never talks about prosperity and development. But, he knows how to win hearts of Gujarati.
