Benazir era finally over; turmoil in Pakistan

Pakistan never seems to be going on right direction irrespective of rulers, in the gruesome incident of mass killing Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto was shot dead by assassinator at campaign rally in Rawalpindi before blowing himself in crowd. Soon after the incident entire Pakistan engulfed into violent turmoil. Her party workers rolled out on rode and put several vehicles on fire to express their anger.
From it’s independence to till date Pakistan always remain in news over several issues. It doesn’t have firm democracy and military ruler like Pervez Musharraf always stepped in to take crucial regain of country in their hand by misusing sovereign military power. Musharraf occupied the top position for more than seven years. Bowing to US and international pressure he finally decided to hand over power without bloodshed.
Both high profile political leaders came down to Pakistani soil in order to participate in general election. But Benazir wasn’t that much fortunate. One suicide bomber rock her supporters gather to welcome her on arrival. As many as 140 people were killed in that deadly suicide attack. After that she express her fear relevant to threat mooted by some terrorist organizations. Like before government hasn’t shown any gesture to entertain her grievances related to her security. Finally the assailants find a fruitful opportunity to end her life.
She has been on election campaign soon after her return. She intensified her election campaign as the dates of general election are approaching. Former Prime Minister Nawab Sharif already declared that his party won’t be a party in upcoming election to condemn prevailing emergency and on the question of free and fare election under Musharraf rule. But, finally he joined election campaign on the persistent request by supporters. Benazir attended several election rallies organized by her political party to woo voters. As per the political observers she was about the gain majority. And even Musharraf has supported her candidature following their recreate agreement.
But, today wasn’t fortunate for her. An assassinator pumped two bullets in her body prior to blew himself up. One bullet was fired in her neck and another in heart. Suicide bomber’s blowing also come out to be a lethal as more than 20 people lost their life in couple of minutes. Most of them are security officers and her close confidents. Following her killing entire Pakistan runes into distress.
She was the first woman Prime Minister in Muslim countries. She blessed this post for two times and looking for next term. Her killing may stall proceeding of general election and reshuffle election schedule. At the same time Musharraf and Sharif have to be extra cautious because this daring attack underline the need for tough security measures for high profile leaders. Musharraf always has been on the hit list of terrorist organization. He may switch over to any western country to spend his remaining life peacefully. The scarcity of deserving political leaders may bring Sharif into commanding mode. And Imran Khan would be having bright future, as he has been an only young face of Pakistan political fraternity…
